Naglašavajući vertikalnost kompozicije, umetnik suprotstavlja nebo i zemlju. Pilot, kao ovozemaljsko biće i Ikar, mitski junak, simbolički predstavljaju čoveku večitu potrebu za osvajanjem visina.
Specially, on the occasion of the exhibition in the Gallery of Matica Srpska, a stained glass Allegory of Aviation was executed according to the original design for the hall of the Aero Club in Belgrade. Today, the building of the Aero-club is decorated with Pomorišacs’ stained glass with a slightly different presentation. The stained glass on display was produced in cooperation with experts from the Atelier “Stanišić 1908” from Sombor, with whose predecessors Pomorišac himself worked on the production of his stained glass. Emphasizing the verticality of the composition, the artist juxtaposes heaven and earth. The pilot, as an earthly being, and Icarus, the mythical hero, symbolically represent man’s eternal need to conquer heights.
